Steps to follow

  1. 01

    Choose and start the route

Review the generated loop, select it, and start the walk from the app.

  2. 02

    Keep location available

Carry the iPhone and allow the location access required for route recording. Background access helps when the screen is locked or another app is open.

  3. 03

    Finish the activity

Use the finish control when the walk is complete. Check that the activity is saved before closing the app.

  4. 04

    Review History

Open the completed walk to review the available route map, distance, duration, steps, date, and other recorded details.

What gets saved

The available record can include route coordinates, distance, duration, steps, active energy, and timing. The exact fields depend on permissions, sensor data, and whether a complete route was recorded.

If Apple Health access is enabled, DailyWander can also save a completed outdoor walking workout when the required data and permissions are available.

If the route map is incomplete

Review Location Services and background access before the next walk. Low Power Mode, poor GPS reception, restricted permissions, or force-quitting the app can reduce background route recording.

FAQ
