Terms of Service for DailyWander

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DailyWander ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Joeri Vanthienen ("we", "us", "Developer").

2. Description of Service

DailyWander is a mobile application that:

• Generates personalized walking routes based on your location
• Tracks your walking activity and progress
• Integrates with Apple Health to export workout data
• Offers free and premium subscription tiers
• Provides route customization features (premium)

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this App
• If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
• You must comply with all applicable local laws regarding outdoor activities
• You represent that all information you provide is accurate

4. License Grant

4.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Install and use the App on iOS devices you own or control
• Access features according to your subscription tier (free or premium)

4.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
• Share your premium subscription with others
• Attempt to bypass free tier limitations through fraudulent means
• Use the App in ways that violate laws or regulations

5. User Account and Subscriptions

5.1 Free Tier

The free version provides:

• 1 walking route per day
• 1 route shuffle per day
• Access to 3 days of walk history
• Basic route generation

5.2 Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions offer:

• Unlimited walking routes
• Unlimited route shuffles
• 3 route variants per generation
• Directional preferences
• Elevation control
• Full walk history
• Advanced features

5.3 Subscription Terms

• Weekly Subscription: $2.99/week with 3-day free trial
• Annual Subscription: $29.99/year (no trial)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
• Payment charged to your Apple ID account
• Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• Free trials available once per user
• Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period

5.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers maintain current price until renewal.

6. Free Trial Terms

• Free trial period: 3 days for weekly subscription
• Trial begins immediately upon subscription
• Cancel anytime during trial to avoid charges
• After trial, subscription auto-renews at regular price
• One trial per user; subsequent subscriptions charged immediately
• We reserve the right to determine trial eligibility

• Provide accurate location permissions for route generation
• Grant HealthKit permissions only if you wish to use health features
• You are responsible for reviewing routes before walking

7.3 Device Requirements

• Compatible iOS device with GPS capability
• Active internet connection for route generation
• Sufficient battery for GPS usage
• iOS 17.0 or later

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Joeri Vanthienen and protected by:

• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• International intellectual property laws

8.2 User Content

• Walk history and data you generate remain yours
• You grant us license to process this data to provide services
• We do not claim ownership of your routes or walk data

"DailyWander" and associated logos are trademarks. You may not use them without written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

9.1 Services Used

The App integrates with:

• RevenueCat: Subscription management

13. Termination

• Attempt to circumvent payment or limitations

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• Locally stored data remains on your device
• No refunds for remaining subscription period
• Certain provisions (liability, indemnification) survive

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes effective upon:

• Posting updated Terms with new "Last Updated" date
• In-app notification (for material changes)
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
