Steps to follow
- 01
Check your location
Make sure the blue location indicator is near your actual starting point and that iPhone Location Services are enabled for DailyWander.
- 02
Try a shorter route
Long loops need more connected streets or paths. Reduce the distance or time target and generate again.
- 03
Change the starting point
Airports, private grounds, waterfront edges, campuses, large car parks, and isolated roads can limit the available walking network.
- 04
Review connectivity
Reconnect to the internet if route data cannot load, then reopen the planner and try again.
Why route generation can fail
A loop requires a connected network that can support a practical round trip. Mapping coverage, access restrictions, bridges, water, motorways, gated areas, and temporary local conditions can all reduce the available options.
A generated route is a planning aid, not a guarantee that every mapped segment is open or suitable today.
When to use another source
For remote terrain, signed hiking trails, closures, emergency planning, or places where local access is uncertain, use current official or specialist mapping resources. DailyWander is strongest for everyday city, neighborhood, park, and travel-base walks.
FAQ
Common questions
Will increasing the distance always help?
No. A larger loop can require more connected paths. Try a shorter route first, then increase it gradually.
Can DailyWander guarantee every mapped path is open?
No. Always check the map and current local conditions before starting.
