How is the GPX distance calculated?
Distance is the sum of great-circle distances between consecutive points within each path. Gaps between track segments are excluded. Sparse points can underestimate bends; GPS noise can overestimate distance. Elevation is not included.
Is this a street map or a navigation tool?
The first view shows the route outline. You can optionally load a street map. Neither view verifies access rights, path closures, road crossings or terrain. Check the original provider and local conditions before walking. The example is fictional.
Which GPX files can I view?
GPX 1.0 and 1.1 tracks and routes are supported, including files with multiple tracks and separate segments. Select the route you want to inspect. Waypoint-only files, elevation profiles and timestamps are not displayed. Routes beyond 85° north or south are outside this preview’s map range.
What happens to my GPX file?
It is read in browser memory, not uploaded or saved by this page. Clear the route or close the page to remove the preview. Normal website analytics measure page visits and App Store clicks, without file names, coordinates or route statistics. Optional map tiles disclose the viewed area to OpenStreetMap.
